Kontextual — Cross-platform product
A context-first contact capture and relationship management product that turns raw contact information into structured, actionable context.
After events, I often remembered the person but lost why the conversation mattered. Contact apps store names and numbers, not where someone came from, why they matter, or what should happen next.
I started building Kontextual as context-first contact capture and relationship management. The scope covers list organization, capture, tagging, OCR business-card scanning, enrichment, filtering, and follow-up across Expo mobile and Next.js web on a shared Convex backend.
The project is an exploration of how structured context makes contact data useful without becoming another generic CRM.
Scope
Digital cards, OCR review, public capture pages, contacts, reminders, and billing surfaces. Active development, verified flows only.
Capture becomes follow-up
Multiple capture surfaces resolve into one owned contact model, then become useful through organization and scheduled follow-up.
- 1.Digital card / scan / public form
- 2.Review contact
- 3.Lists + tags + status + notes
- 4.Reminders + notifications
- 5.Follow-up
Interaction details
- Multiple capture surfaces resolve into one contact model before organization begins.
- OCR and AI suggestions go through review before save.
- Reminders and notifications close the loop after capture.
Stack
React Native, Expo 54, Expo Router, Next.js, TypeScript, NativeWind, Zustand, Convex, RevenueCat.
How it works
Connected product surfaces
Mobile handles card creation, camera capture, review, organization, reminders, and profile flows. Web supports shareable event and list capture pages.
- QR and deep-link card sharing.
- Camera scan with OCR/AI and review before save.
- Lists, tags, statuses, notes, tiers, search, filters, bulk actions, and export.
- Scheduled reminders, notifications, authentication, and billing/credit surfaces.
Current state
Kontextual is in active development. The portfolio shows only implemented, verified flows and does not present unfinished My Cards actions, purchasing modals, or audit persistence as complete.
